We are in touch with over 40 local agencies assessing ways in which together, we can help the most vulnerable in Walworth County, ensuring that they have the support they need to weather the short, and long-term impacts of the coronavirus outbreak. Keeping the residents of Walworth County safe and strong is vital. Keeping our agencies strong is paramount.
In January, 2020 the United Way of Walworth County hosted our first partner agency meeting, bringing together Executive Directors from over 40 charitable agencies in Walworth County. These agencies fight for food, health, financial stability, shelter, education, safety. They fight for every resident of Walworth County. They make Walworth County a better place to live, for all of us. We couldn’t have forseen how significant this connection would become as we entered into unprecedented times.

What does Walworth County receive in return for the 2% in dues that is paid to United Way Worldwide? That money brings programs like the 211 Helpline, and SingleCare, a free prescription savings card, to Walworth County. United Way Worldwide also sends us numerous donations from national corporations which we might not otherwise receive. And through the United Way Worldwide’s partnership in the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program, we receive thousands of dollars annually to assist our local food pantries and shelters. All this for 2 pennies from each dollar.

The United Way Community Impact Committee, comprised of your friends and neighbors who know the needs of your community, review all applications to be sure that your donation has the greatest impact.
